Just a few very important and informative announcements:
After much thought and consideration, we’ve concluded that competitive marching band will not be an option for us this year. Given the current health crisis, our attendance has suffered (understandable) and makes it impossible to be competitive. It takes a significant amount of time, planning, funding and consistency to make a competitive marching season successful and unfortunately, we’re lacking in time and consistency. Just know that most or all bands in our region and across the state are not competing this year for the same exact reasons. We are determined to provide our students with the best marching season possible considering the current health crisis. We will still produce a halftime show (home games only) that is shorter in length and includes several safety measures in line with the recommendations and guidelines set by the Texas Education Agency and the University Interscholastic League.
